Coaches in Maine usually need a Lay Rescuer CPR, AED certification. Required training should include; Adult, Child, Infant CPR, AED and First Aid.
Coaches in Maine may complete their training online, in-person or via a blended course in order to meet their state licensure requirement. Different school districts may require a specific training method or a specific provider.

The Maine Department of Education requires Coaches to maintain a certification in Adult, Child, and Infant Pediatric CPR, AED and First Aid. A hands-on skills demonstration is not required on the state level for licensing, but may be required at the local district level.
Coaches’ Eligibility
A person shall be eligible to coach in any interscholastic high school athletic contest, provided the person satisfies all of the following conditions (for purposes of this section, “coach” shall mean all persons who coach an interscholastic high school athletic team in any way, whether for pay or as a volunteer at the varsity, junior varsity and freshman/first team level):
